Many people without insurance depend on CVIM's free health services, and CVIM depends on its volunteers. Volunteering with us is a great way to show that you care. We have volunteer opportunities in the following areas: Office/Administrative Medical Dental Volunteers with Current Clinical Credentials For volunteers with a current clinical license or certification, we have positions available for: Doctors Nurses Dentists Dental Hygienists Pharmacists Dental or Physician Assistants Case Managers Non-Clinical Volunteers You do not need to have a clinical background to volunteer, we also have positions available for: Greeters Receptionists Medical Records Clerks Eligibility Assistants Data Entry Special Projects Fundraising

Volunteers in the Dental Clinic

If you are interested in volunteering as a dental assistant intern in our dental clinic, you must be able to commit to a minimum of one 4-hour shift per week for at least one full academic year. For example, if you are a student who intends to graduate in May 2011 you should complete our orientation and be ready to volunteer beginning in August 2010. If this type of commitment does not meet your scheduling constraints, please explore the volunteer opportunities in other areas of CVIM where there are fewer position requirements.

1. Complete a volunteer application online. If you prefer, you can download a volunteer application, and mail your completed application to Sue Miller, our Volunteer Coordinator.
2. Attend a short orientation session to learn more about CVIM and the different areas where you can volunteer, as well as receiving information and training about volunteering at a medical services organization.
