Upcoming, Continuing & Past EventsSt. Andrew's Golf TournamentPlay St. Andrew's without leaving State College on May 21, 2012. The tournament will play the PSU White Course with a 9:00 am shotgun start. Buffet follows tournament, prizes based on net and low gross scores, many raffle and door prizes. All proceeds will be divided equally between four community organizations including CVIM. More Information
2012 Marathoners for MedicineCVIM is excited that once again runners from the Centre region are running in the Boston Marathon, the Pittsburgh Marathon and the Poconos Marathon in support of CVIM's mission to serve and advocate for the medically underserved residents of Centre County. This event, sponsored by Mount Nittany Health System, is in its 10th year, led by CVIM Board Member, John Domico. To date, it has raised more than $300,000. This year, participants will be running in honor and in memory of Joe Paterno, who served as honorary head coach from the beginning. 4th Annual Cycling for CareCVIM Cycling for Care is a non-competitive scenic bike ride to raise funds for CVIM and is meant for all levels of cyclists. The routes include a Metric Century (62 miles) and Half-Metric Century (31 miles) ride. Loops begin and end at Fairbrook United Methodist Church. This years' event will be held on Saturday, June

5th Annual Battle of the MindsOctober 4, 2012 - mark your calendars for the 5th Annual Battle of the Minds to be held at the Penn Stater Conference Center & Hotel. Last year, Fuzzy Logic took home first place honors, followed closely by Brownian Motion in 2nd place and Team X in third. But the real winner was CVIM, with the event raising almost $100,000! Many thanks to our co-hosts the Rotary Club of State College for their support, all who volunteered and worked diligently on the committees, to those who attended the event and to those who volunteered to help through out the evening. Give Kids a Smile and Vision for the Future DayCVIM, hosted the 9th annual Give Kids a Smile & Vision for the Future on Friday April 20, 2012. This event provided free comprehensive dental care, plus vision and hearing screenings for Centre County children without insurance. The program is made possible through the generosity of Pediatric Dental Associates, Nittany Eye Associates, Albrecht Audiology, Centre County Drug and Alcohol, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Henry-Schein Dental, Vision Benefits of America, and local volunteers. Get Fit for a CauseOne on One, Fitness Consultants Inc. has a group training program as part of their "Give Back" initiative. With a donation to CVIM (or to the Youth Service Bureau) community members can benefit from One on One's unique brand of Group Training. The donation structure and class schedule can be found here. CVIM receives 100% of the proceeds from the classes if you select CVIM to donate to! For 2011, in addition to the Group Training program, One on One will be providing a Lecture Series that is available to any organization for the cost of a donation to CVIM or their other favored charity.
