Donated MedicationsIntroductionCentre Volunteers in Medicine was founded to understand and serve the health and wellness needs of uninsured residents of Centre County, PA. Access to affordable medications is key to the health of our patients. CVIM strives to insure quality care and patient safety with the limited resources at our disposal. To that end, CVIM will only use medications purchased or received through pharmacies or approved medication distribution programs that can verify storage and proper handling of medications. PolicyCVIM will NOT accept donated medications from any source other than that described above, including those from private citizens and physician offices. Donated medications will not be accepted as a matter of patient safety and quality control, as proper storage and handling of medications cannot be guaranteed. Medication DisposalIndividuals wishing to dispose of medications may bring them to Mount Nittany Medical Center. They will accept medications Monday-Friday from 10 am-4 pm. Medications can be dropped off at the pharmacy service window at Mount Nittany Medical Center. |
